the Presidents desk

As we enter November, I reflect with gratitude and pride on an impactful first year of my presidency—one marked by growth, service, collaboration, and a renewed commitment to the principles of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

Serving as your Chapter President has been both an honor and a responsibility. Our accomplishments are a testament not to individual leadership, but to the collective dedication of brothers who have contributed their time, talents, and ideas to move Omicron Alpha Sigma forward.  Throughout the year, our Chapter has strengthened its community presence through business development, economic empowerment, educational initiatives, scholarships, social action, mentorship, and meaningful community partnerships. These accomplishments are more than events; they demonstrate what is possible when we put purpose behind our commitment and action behind our words. We should celebrate our progress while recognizing that our work continues.

Positioning Omicron Alpha Sigma for 2027

As we close this first year, our focus turns to preparing the Chapter for continued growth and success in   2027. Our November Chapter Retreat will be an opportunity to assess our progress, establish priorities, set committee goals, and develop the upcoming year's calendar and programming schedule. I encourage every brother to participate with an open mind and a willingness to help shape our future. What we establish together must reflect our collective vision and commitment.

A Challenge to the Brotherhood: Circle Back to Your WHY!

As we prepare for a new year, I challenge every brother to revisit one important question: Why  did you join Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.?  Was it Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service? A desire to impact your community? The inspiration of another brother? Or the opportunity to be part of something greater than yourself? More importantly, does that WHY still guide your commitment today?

Our fraternity is not strengthened by membership alone. It is strengthened by brothers who are engaged, accountable, intentional, and willing to do the work. Every brother has something to contribute, a role to fulfill, and a responsibility to uphold our legacy.  Remember, the strength of this Chapter is not found in the title of its leadership, but in the commitment of its brotherhood.

Let us move forward with renewed purpose, remain committed to our principles, and never lose sight of our WHY.

Fraternally,
